As Cwmbrân and Nidum will be playing in the European Club Cup from 6 to 14 October, the dates Oct 5 and 12 will not be available. However Nov 9 is available for matches involving these two teams.
Four teams will meet, on the weekend of 19 - 20 January, at a convenient venue where they will each play two matches (rounds 3 and 4) in a sort of "mini-4NCL" style weekend. The date of this weekend is already fixed - the venue will depend of which four teams are involved, and this will depend on how the teams express their preferences. RULES
For
MID-WEEK matches, the actual dates when the matches may be played will be just
BEFORE Dates 1 through 7 (which are all Fridays) depending on which evening the
Home Club meets. By the end of Date A (which doesn't change) the HOME team must
have chosen which THREE of these dates it would prefer to play the match, and
offered these THREE dates to its opponent. Note that they don't all have to be
on the same weekday, but they MUST be in three different weeks. By the end of
Date B (which also doesn't change) the AWAY team must have selected ONE of these
offered dates and notified the HOME team of its decision. The match will be played
on this date.
For WEEK-END matches, the actual dates when the matches may be played will be
the Saturdays and Sundays just AFTER Dates 1 through 7 (which are all Fridays)
giving more than TEN possible dates. By the end of Date A (which doesn't change) the HOME
team must have chosen on which FOUR of these dates (which must include at least
one Saturday, at least one Sunday, and include at least 3 different weekends) it
would prefer to play the match, and offered these FOUR dates to its opponent. By
the end of Date B (which also doesn't change) the AWAY team must have chosen ONE
of these offered dates and notified the HOME team of its selection. The match will
be played on this date.
Penalties for missed deadlines
If
the Home captain fails to offer the required dates by the "Date A"
deadline, then his team is penalised one "missed deadline point" and
"Date A" is postponed by one week, as is "Date B". This
process is repeated until only TWO dates are left on which to offer matches.
At this point the Away Captain may assume that all legitimate dates, in the last
3 weeks, are on offer
and accept any one of them.
Once a
legitimate offer has been made, if the the Away captain fails to accept one of the offered dates by (the
possibly delayed) "Date B" then his
team is also penalised one "missed deadline point"
and "Date B" is also postponed by one week, but he may still accept any of the offered
dates so long as he gives 14 days notice of this date.
At the end of the season, the number of deadlines missed by each team will be used as a tie-breaker, after Match Points and Game Points.
