Any references to the South Wales Premier League, from Summer 2006 onwards, are accidental and due to laziness on my part. The league, since the inclusion of Wrexham for the 2006 - 2007 season, is now called the Welsh Chess Premier League.

Only Abergavenny wished to join the WCPL so there was no qualifying event. Monmouth decided not to continue in the WCPL
